One Day You’ll See
Call for images
This body of work is made up of ocular devices that shift the participants' visual perception of the world and individuals around them. Magnifying, compressing, flipping, distorting and reflecting the world using lenses, and varying opacities of mirrored surfaces. The intention is to get the audience to become aware and questioning the fallibility of knowing and understanding something or someone through simple visual observation.
For this particular set of objects I am creating a set of stereoscopes that take a set of two dimensional images and through a slight shift in cropping and the use of parallax create a three dimensional image when viewed through the device. Essentially merging two images into one, using your eyes.
For this I need you, dear friend. I am hoping to gather portraits of people from all walks of life to represent the diversity of humanity regardless of race, socio economic background, age, gender, sexuality, or political affiliations.
If you are willing to participate and let me use an image of your face in my upcoming show at the Baltimore Jewelry Center in 2025 and on my website please follow these guidelines and follow this link to submit your images.

No filters on image. I will be editing them to black and white and creating the double image so they can be viewed through the stereoscope.
